Prince Liam, son of Deirdre

Clad in black and silver, Prince Liam is handsome, athletic, charming, and immensely charismatic. A keen intelligence shines from his piercing blue eyes. In appearance, he bears a strong resemblance to Deirdre, sharing not just the same eyes of blue, but also the short-cropped raven hair, strong frame, and royal bearing. However, since his return from the Occupation, there is more than a touch of darkness in his countenance and demeanor that was never there before.

Liam is known by his childhood friends as a popular and gregarious young man. Thespian, musician, poet, balladeer—he is the life of the party. However, he hasn’t been the same since his mother’s heroic death in the Patternfall War. After staying with various close relatives in Amber, and then a short stint in the Amberite Navy, he disappeared into Shadow for several years.

Following his return from Shadow, Liam became a prominent member of the Amberite Occupation Authority, most recently serving on Benedict’s command staff. However, during this most recent tour, he was kidnapped by Chaosite insurgents and held for several weeks. His abduction in Chaos his and eventual release/escape were much-publicized; now, following a high-profile fête to celebrate his safe return, he is on convalescent leave back in Amber.

“Vainly now he gropes for cease

Of spirit’s scream and psyche’s wail

Which ring with neither end nor peace

But bear him hence past reason’s Pale.

One true shield against this foe he bears:

Sweet Death, in blood awash—his own or theirs!”
